History of Alaujan

Though Alaujan family hails from Saudi Arabia, the roots of the family business can be traced back to Bahrain. Abdulla Al Aujan & Brothers was established in this Gulf country in 1905 as a family operation, which traded tobacco, rice, beverages and other commodities. Over the last 106 years, Alaujan Business has developed, nurtured and won a coveted place in the hearts and minds of families across the Middle East.

A. Lateef Khalid Alaujan & Sons Group, originally founded by Mr. A. Lateef Khalid Alaujan in Bahrain in 1972. The Group is Bahrain’s one of the largest private sector enterprise, with businesses in the Food Distribution, Personal Care Distribution, Fashion (Footwear) & Real Estate. Strategic Planning, Efficiency, Partnership and Stability have been the cornerstone of the evolution and growth of the Group. Starting with footwear in the early seventies, Al Aujan pursued a strategy of basic consumer products integration – in Food & Personal Care Products Distribution – to be fully integrated along its product value chain. With the main management office located in the heart of Manama area in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Al Aujan has 3 warehouses with more than 20,000 Pallets & more than 23,000 Square meters State-of-Art Warehousing capacity & area.

In the short span of 40 years, A. Lateef Alaujan has expanded into 4 main Companies that forms Alaujan Group – Bahrain: Latif Shoe, Alaujan Food Stuff, Alaujan Real Estate & Alaujan Logistics.
